Bota ("Bota", "we", "us") operates the Bota mobile application (the "App"), a discovery guide for restaurants, lounges, and experiences in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how. We have designed the App to collect as little information as possible.

Information we do not collect

The current version of the App does not require you to create an account or sign in. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or payment information, and we do not collect them.

Information stored on your device

When you save a venue to your favorites, that list is stored locally on your device only. It is not transmitted to us or to any third party, and it is removed if you delete the App.

Language preference

The App lets you switch between Amharic and English. Your selected language is kept on your device to remember your preference and is not shared with us.

Analytics and tracking

The current version of the App does not include third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. If we add privacy-respecting, aggregate analytics or crash reporting in a future version, we will update this policy and the App's privacy information on the App Store before doing so.

Information collected by Apple

When you download or use the App, Apple may collect certain information in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy. That collection is governed by Apple, not by Bota.

Children

The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
